As people, yes. But I can’t say that I would want any of them back in the band again given the opportunity. I don’t mean that in an aggressive way, it’s just that the reasons why most of them left the band were because there were obviously things that they didn’t like about playing music for a living. Which is fine. Just because it’s MY favourite thing to do doesn’t mean it has to be anyone else’s. Every current member of Counterparts seems to be on the same page, and that’s very important to me. For the first time in a while I think every single member is excited and willing to put everything they have into the band. That’s how I know it’s still worth it. It’s extremely difficult being on tour with people who obviously don’t want to be there, you know? This band has been on a gentle incline for our entire career thus far and to throw that away because of member changes alone is stupid in my opinion. It’s going to be difficult, but I know that Counterparts is far from over and I’m not willing to throw in the towel over a few small setbacks.
Thanks to everyone for the continued support. I promise you have nothing to worry about.
